    Discharged today, yea! but....

I received a Discharge of Debtor from the courts today. However it does not specify which debts where discharged and which ones weren't???

I checked Pacer and it states the same information I received in the mail and a certificate of service to all my debtors.

I have federal student loans and wonder if they will just start contacting me now? I have not heard from them since April when I filed. I assume the credit cards are gone. No creditors showed at my meeting.

I kept one car and have been current with the payments, but I didn't sign a formal re-affirmation agreement. I just stated that I wanted to keep it in court and on my initial bankruptcy petition.

Does anyone know how student loans work?

    Never mind...

I dug a little further on the board and I guess everything is discharged but the federal student loans and they will contact me, since the trustee does not make a determination of student loans and the student loan companies do not have to file a formal objection.

I guess I will leave it to the companies to contact me if they want me to re-affirm my car loan.

Yeah, right now your loans are probably in deferred status. If you want to start paying on them, you could contact them. You may want to contact them anyway to verify the status and make sure they don't show as default status.
