    Time limit for asset report???

I check every day for an email from my attorney or something on Pacer and nothing so far. The attorney told me they wait to hear from the trustee they don't call to see what's going on....We had our 341 5/5 and were discharged 7/14 so is there a time limit for the trustee to do the asset report?? I really want to get rid of some stuff...mostly junk but I did have some non exempt assets and she took our stimulus payment.

    Thank you

Miss Sunshine Mary: Once you got the notice of your DISCHARGE, you for all intents and purposes are done. In fact, you are overlydone; if someone sticks a knife and fork in you to test, they will find you *BURNT*.

Go sell your stuff and throw yourself a party. Just in case, keep receipts!!

    Congratulations!!!

With an asset case, it could close to a year before your case closes, so be patient. It could be a couple fo months before you see anything on PACER with regards to asset report, so try not to check it everyday.
      Bankruptcy History:
      Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
      Discharged - 02/16/2006
      Case Closed - 11/08/2007

All suggestions are based on personal experience and research and SHOULD NOT be construed as legal advice as I am NOT an attorney. Always consult with competent counsel in your area with regards to your particular situation.

OK thank you I see your asset case was open quite a while Bassboy. I just thought it worked faster than that. I really don't want to wait a year to get rid of stuff but I will :/
