I've been watching this board for many months and have been planning with our attorney for almost as long. I haven't posted much but I have learned plenty. Tomorrow at 2:15 PDT is our 341 hearing here in San Diego and even though you think you are prepared you can't help but be a little nervous. I actually saw some stress on my wife's face today and I can tell she is a little wigged. I on the other hand feel kind of peacful about the hearing. Usually our roles are reversed. We've done all we can to prepare for what is to come. I'm sure our case will get increased scrutiny (200k in unsecured debt and 25k over the median) so I'm sure the hearing will be longer than most. I'll give you a quick rundown tomorrow night as to how it went.

Make sure to get downtown early so you can get good parking. I parked at mall and walked to where the 341 was.
Do you know who your trustee is? I hope he is the cool one I had.
I will send you good vibes.

We live in Tierrasanta so we are going to leave around 12:30 to give ourselves plenty of time. Our Trustee is XXXXXXXXX. Our attorney said she is pretty cool, some are worse and some are better.Originally posted by Cali View PostMake sure to get downtown early so you can get good parking. Hi Slam22: Welcome to the Forum. Good vibes go out to you and your wife for your 341 tomorrow.
One request: I see you are still on the board. Please go into the edit mode of your post and XXXXXXX out the Trustee's name. The Moderators do not want people being identified by their real names here. Thanks!
Should you drive by 'STAR OF INDIA' tomorrow, wave for me please; I am a life member of the San Diego Maritime Museum."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

Good luck, the waiting for your turn is the longest part. I know people get stressed out and the whole thing lasts about 5 to 10 minutes tops. The most important thing is don't babble. Just answer the questions, which the first 5 or so are standard to every BK, it is the people who babble ( and I mean these are the fine folks that start remembering all the things they forgot to list in their BK) who screw up and that is where the nightmare stories come from. That are an ex-wife or ex-partner that shows up. Those are actually pretty funny when the ex-wife starts rambling about the ex-husband's wh**e of a girlfriend and about all the crap he bought her and didn't list it. I have seen ex-wife's throw a guy under a bus, then get in the bus and drive back and forth over the body, get out, light it on fire, and pee on it, during a 341 meeting.
Good Luck, you should be fineDisclaimer: I am not an actor on TV, but I play a BK Paralegal in real life. Nothing I say should be construed as legal advice, or really anything but entertainment. Please seek out professional help.

Oh my goodness, what entertainment! My 341 will probably be boring compared to that! No Drama!!Originally posted by BKParalegal View PostGood luck, the waiting for your turn is the longest part.
