Case Closed

When does your case officially close? I have been reading on some of the threads about their cases being closed. Our Chapter 7 was discharged on Feb. 6, 2008 and we turned over our tax return checks which he wanted. We have no idea if he wants our stimulus check or not. Our attorney said that our state has been having hearings on whether they have the right to take them or not so we are just holding that for now.

In the status section it currently says this:

Awaiting 341 Meeting 10/15/2007 290 days 1 Chapter 7 Voluntary Petition

What does that mean? We already had that 341 meeting and we have been discharged. So when does the case officially close?

On th status page it should also have discharge, under that, case closed. You should also have received a mailing that states that the case is closed. Maybe your attorney received them. "It should read that the case is closed and the trustee is released from your case

Call your BK court and ask to talk to your case admin. if your attorney does not know.
