Keep car or let it go

I am looking for some advice, I have been discharged but my current car was never reaffed. I have the option of geting a 91 Honda civic with 21,000 miles on it from a family member. I have 2 questions, first since my car was never reaffed it should show as discharged on my credit report and I can just call Toyota tell them to come get it no problem right? 2nd will leting Toyota take back the car make it even harder for me to get a new car or will it have not effect on my credit anyway since I am discharged?

    Thanks

Yes, you can let the vehicle go, and since it was discharged, the lender has no recourse. Letting the car go has no adverse affects of you getting another vehicle because in reality, that vehicle is no longer in your possession. And if you're asked about it, simply say that you surrendered the vehicle, which you will be doing anyways.
