Got Letters today

Today...I recieved a WHOLE STACK of letters. Copies of what my lawyer sent to my creditors explaining that I have retained him and that they are prohibited from calling me or contacting me without his consent. And that when filed they will receive the case number from him.

Hopefully this means that I'm getting close? Maybe it won't be middle of Sept by the time they file, like they said?

What's your take? Did ya'll lawyers do this too?

I would think if your lawyer is sending out letters like that he must be getting close to filing your petition, but mine didn't do similar. I first met with my lawyer on 6/16 and my papers were filed electronically on 6/30 so it was a relatively short time. To think I actually thought of trying to come up with the money to get them to fast track it and file faster. If he is notifying them though of your intention to file I don't think he'd let too much time elapse before actually filing and contacting them with the case number.

Our attorney's secretary called and told us the letters to the creditors were going on but we never received any copies. I would think filing would be the next step.
