341 Scheduled

I got my paperwork today from the court. Our 341 is scheduled for 9/10/08 at 10am. Last day for objections is 11/10. The document stated there was no presumption of abuse and that we were an no asset case

So now we wait. September 10th seems like a milllions years away.

downwardspiral - it will go quick - between now and the 341 date, start gathering all your papers and documents. I was close to renting a dang UHaul with all my stuff

What I took to the courtroom was the following (W2, SS card, payroll for 1 year, 401K stock options, bank statements 1 year, bills, cc statements, lat two years filed taxes, auto lease papers, all documentaton from my attny). I am sure I missed something but that gives you a good idea what I took.

Now ask me what the court wanted to see at my 341. Nothing! Not even my social sec card

Typically your attorney will advise you on what to bring (the trustee will let him/her know if they require an additional documentation). Our 341 is tomorrow and our trustee has not asked us to bring anything other than a SS card and license.

Someone started a thread the other day and most attorney's actually advise their clients to only bring what is asked and nothing more.

The only other thing I will add to bring is a copy of the marriage license, if you and your spouse are filing jointly and are using different surnames. This is what our Trustee required of us, in addition to our DLs and SS cards. This seems to be just a quirk of our Trustee, and not the norm. But I would be remiss if I didn't mention it.

My husband and I also have different surnames and we were not advised to bring our marriage license to the 341...just our SS cards and driver licenses. Hopefully we won't have the same problem you're going through right now. While we waited for the proceedings to start, there was a nasty rumor about needing a third picture ID but luckily it turned out to be just a rumor.
