How long does the 341 meeting last and do these expences look correct?

    rent(utilities paid)..........$460
    gas...........$140
    internet......15.95
    food...........200.00
    cloths........$50
    car payment ....171.46
    car insurance....102$
    laundry...........40$ (coin)
    beauty/hair care...$20
    entertainment(movies/dining etc)...100$

This is the gist of it. i do not remember everything on to of my head. i go to the movies and eat with a friend once a week i estimate that at 100$ a month. Also what do questions do they ask of me. all they asked was me to provide a bank statememt and copy of last years taxes. I was told that they do 10 people every 30 minutes and that unless you have a lot of assets to sell they spend only a minute or two with you and you should not worry. Also I was having to take a week off without pay for i was sick and did not have any benefit time to take so i am now becind on just the basic bills. car pay/insurance etc. should i mention this at the meeting? aLSO IT LOOKS LIKE NO ONE Responded to my last thread so i will ask it again. is it ok to look for another job after my 341 meeting? I am not out to cheat the system. I am not out to get a higher pay job. If a job pays the same I am ok. I am just miserable at where i am working at. If i start work elsewhere will the trustee find out and will it cause problems. I do not want to look like i am cheating the system or nothing. but i assume if its ok to get another job, if you get paid more they may want you to do a 13

I posted a reply yesterday about my experience in a change of job status and my 341 if you haven't read it yet. Your expenses don't seem to out of line to me from what I have seen from others, but every area and trustee is different. I wouldn't think any are so high as to be a problem, though possibly depending on your area you might be better off with the weekly dining out included in your food to keep your entertainment a little lower since your food costs aren't very high. If you haven't already checked out the IRS expense list which will be used when the new laws take effect, it is located here:

I was told the same thing regarding scheduling, but the day mine was held there were about 4 scheduled in the 30 minute block I was in. I was in the last group, #44 of 45 cases. There was a schedule on the door and I believe they started at 9:30 and ended at 3:30 for 45 cases and most likely included a break for lunch. I arrived early and watched about 30-45 minutes of cases before me and most went smooth unless the trustee needed some information that was left off or they had something the trustee objected to like the woman with 2 timeshares.

If you are reaffirming your car you will want to explain to the trustee about the missed work and catch up on those basic bills as you need to keep current for reaffirmations. Unless your trustee is having a horrible day they should be understanding. Good luck with your case and with finding a job you enjoy. I used to desire a job that paid good, but now I'd rather have a job that can pay the bills and that I actually enjoyed instead of being miserable.
