Studen Loans ...

Gang -

We filed BK on June 16th, Had our 341 on July 22nd and are counting the days until Sept 22nd for the discharge.

Here's my question :

I have been paying on a Student Loan now for years.
It is taken directly out of our checking account on the 5th of each month.
It was taken out on July 5th ( after we filed ) and then not taken out in August.

Is that normal, Do I call them or it is up to them to get back in touch with me ??

Once you file bankruptcy, your student loans are put in deferrment. You won't hear from them again (they aren't allowed to contact you) until your case is discharged.

Yes, ours was placed in "administrative forbearance" as soon as we filed. We were discharged in July and our automatic payments resume in October.

During those three months ( July - Oct ) did they send a letter or place a phone call after the discharge to start those payments up again ??

Hey I Just Noticed that I spelt " Student " wrong in the title ... Apparently that was Money Well Spent !!

I never received a phone call or letter. Once my case was dismissed, I just started to get statements/bills again.
