My attorney is a Ch7 Trustee in My District

I suppose this would be a GOOD thing, but I'm not sure?

I'm thinking it will be beneficial because he will know the other trustees and how they might respond to my case.

Anyone have an attorney who is also a trustee?

We personally do not have one, but there are many people on here who recommend getting a lawyer who is also a trustee. In theory they should know the local BK practices inside and out, which would be to your advantage.

While looking for my attorney I tried to find a trustee that was a attorney. I couldn't find one. However, I did notice law firms that had trustees as a part of their firm. I called the firm and they referenced me to an attorney since they didn't handle bk cases anymore. I found him to be the cheapest when it comes to cost.

Personally I would look for an attorney who is NOT a trustee. Some trustees are known to be anti-consumer and pro-creditor. It's like petting small dogs instead of a Rotweiler or Pitbulls.

Yep, I agree. Seems ALL would be pro-creditor. Is the point of a trustee to be sure to take all assets possible to pay off creditors?

Many people here hire Trustees as their attorneys and there is a great argument on their bahalf--exactly as you say, they know the law in their area and I'm sure their work usually commands some kind of respect from their colleagues.

I don't get these other complaints of the people speaking above me. I don't know whether my attorney (a trustee) is pro or anti-consumer. I know he gave me the best guidance of all the attorneys I consulted with. And I know he seemed to really know the law well in his area and he didn't even advertise or at all highlight that he was a trustee.

So I think it's a great move, assuming you otherwise like the guy and feel comfortable with him.
