Would it look bad if we took out a payday loan before we filed and then just included it on the bk? We are so broke and we need a couple hundred more to pay the rest of the lawyer. I don't want to do something I should't so I am looking for some advice.

Yes, that would be bad only insofar as that you would have to pay it back notwithstanding the BK because that debt could not be discharged.
