    Citifinancial Auto - Ridethrough?

Anyone have any experience with them? I met with my attorney and because I am showing negative income she doubts the judge in my district would approve a signed reffirmation agreement. She said since I am current and not with a "motor credit" company that normally there is not an issue since I am continuing to make payments and they stand to lose about $5,000+ on the deal since I am upside down.

I don't have much money for the purchase of even a moderately priced used car right now and I'm sure that no one will even look at me for credit right after discharge.

Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with them? I'm afraid to call in case the answer is bad news, it will keep me up at night thinking about what I might have to do...

Oh and before anyone tells me, I know a "ride-through" is not techincally legal anymore, but it seems that some companies would rather you keep paying anyway. I'm just wondering what CFA's take on this practice has been -- if anyone knows.

I have a car loan through Citi that I didn't reaffirm for the same reason that you aren't reaffirming. We filed May 23rd - we were current when we filed and have just continued to make on time payments over the phone. I called to ask if they required a reaffirmation agreement, and the c/s person said no, but you never know how knowledgeable the c/s rep is.

At any rate, I call in to do my monthly payment over the phone and they are always pleasant and happy to take my money. Nothing is ever said about my account being flagged for repo b/c I didn't sign the reaffirmation agreement or anything.

My lawyer said what your's did -- that the Ford Credits and Daimler/Chrysler's of the auto loan world require a reaffirm. but the citifincial's usually don't.
