Between The Discharge And Closing Question

I have done a search here and can't find quite the information I am looking for. If this or something similar has been answered before, I apologize.

A couple years ago, I applied for job within my company and was pretty sure to get it. It would have meant a considerable pay raise. However, the company decided to tighten their collective belt and the job went POOF just like that. There hired no one for it.

Today, I hear that the job opening is possibly coming back. (it is much needed). The wheels on these things turn very slowly (from approval, to posting, to hiring, etc) so I am probably okay time wise but in case I am not, I have the following question:

If this job does get posted and I do happen to get it, would I need to be worried about getting a significant pay raise after discharge but before closing? Or would I be safe upon discharge?

The person that told me about this is a friend of mine and is the ONLY person I have told about my situation...I may need to lay my cards on the table if for some strange reason, my company for once gets a wild hair up their ass and pushes this through before pigs fly.

    Thank you for any insight,

You should be fine. At my 341 meeting the trustee asked if we were expecting any additional income. By your 341 on 8-28, you won't know anything. If it's not an absolute sure thing by your 341 it doesn't matter.

I've missed somthing here. Your thread is between discharge and closing? Have you been discharged, if so, you are done. After meeting certain obligations as in our asset case, then it becomes closed. If I do not meet the obligation, then they can reopen and dismiss. Once discharged though basically you can do anything you wish. 'Hub
