    Had my 341

I tried to post yesterday after the meeting but the site was down :-(

Like everyone else, I was so nervous I was light headed and had tunnel vision but it went "perfect" according to my lawyer. I was asked a few more questions because I had two business's but my meeting was scheduled at 1:00PM and I was back home by 1:49PM and that including walking 1.1 miles from the court house!

I told the guards that if they heard screaming and yelling outside the building not to worry it was just cries of joy and they said they understood and it happens all the time.

My advice. Get a GOOD lawyer. See them when the thought of bk crosses your mind and NOT a few days before your house gets taken. It has taken me over 14 months to file but I'm $20K over median income and we haven't been asked for any extra documents (I also turned over everything I could think of for the last 3 years). With a good lawyer, they'll know how to handle your case with the least drama.

Stephen - (I'm not going to say I'm part of the 60 day club until after the time for a "random" audit has passed)

Oh another thing, if you go out after for a drink, make sure you've eaten in the past 24 hours else it will hit you hard!

LOL.. thanks for the good advice stephen. I go to retain our lawyer this week. I have been researching lawyers and the process since last Nov. I only now decided to put my foot foward. Best of luck!

Congratulations Stephen, we are also in the "waiting" phase. I think I check Pacer every other day to see if anyone has filed anything, I am not even completely sure it would show me.....but I need to fret over SOMETHING, LOL!

I hope all goes well for you over these next few months.

Thanks you so much. I didn't realize how much helps to have someone who understands what I'm been going through.

As for the extra questions, just wanting to make sure the business's were shutdown, that I'd used my credit cards to fund my business. He also verified that I had had a drop of income based on my 2007 tax returns and what was on my petition.

Oh, one other thing my lawyer told me, TWICE. Answer all questions with a yes or no and then STOP TALKING! If the trustee wants more information, he'll ask for it, DON'T go explaining things because that can only lead to trouble.

Stephen - your attorney gave you great advice when it comes to answering questions. You would be amazed at how many people talk way too much and get themselves into trouble.
