    As TS said, your judgement is filed in your courthouse and is already Public Record. I'm not sure you can have it removed, as a satisfaction would negate the Judgement but they can't pull the recorded papers out of the films or database.

    When you marry, it is recorded, after a divorce, the marraige record is not purged, the divorce judgment just supercedes, as an example. 'Hub

        If you are going to file, why would you settle when you can include them on the BK? The trustee will defiantely question that. Do you have an attorney? I bet you he/she would tell you not to settle. You better rethink that intention.

          I agree with not settling--especially if you will file shortly. A judgment will still show, and even if it's paid, it's still a paid judgment.

          I hope you figure out what works best for you, but really--IMO I can't see the advantage of paying settled amount if you will file.
