How long do I have to wait filing after credit card transfers?

I just did a $3000 credit card cash advance and I also did a balance transfer from one credit card to another. We're contemplating bankruptcy if we cannot sell a real estate property that's been on the market for 3 months. Do I have to wait a certain time to file bankruptcy now that I did this transfer? Also, the mortgage company called my mom who is 80 years old (I missed last month's payment), how can I keep them from calling her? I told her just to give them my phone number next time they call.

I think you can send a cease and desist letter requiring them not to contact your mother.

6 months minimum I'd wait, maybe longer depending how large the transfer was.
