How does this work? House and C7

We included our house in 7 but then amended petition after filing to list house as exempt. We did not reaffirm mortgage only car.

We are not giving up our house but I just wondered if we wanted to in the future (we do not want to lol just food for thought) could we just walk away from it?

Is it the same as if we gave it up because it's listed in bankruptcy or could they come after us/sue us for money if we gave it back?

Correct....that is the beauty of not reaffirming, you can walk-away from the house at any point and owe nothing.

The only thing to be wary about is that the longer the time in between BK and walking away, the more likely it will be treated as two separate events on your credit report. I.e.If you walk away several months after BK, you'll have both a BK and a foreclosure on your credit.
