Sign forms at home or in front of clerk?

We are filing our self-prepared chapter 7 tomorrow. We have the forms ready to sign but weren't sure if they are to be notarized or if we are to sign in front of the clerk....any thoughts on this?

I was planning on dropping off the forms by myself and have my wife sign in advance.

They do not need to be notarized and don't have to be signed in front of the clerk.

Wait a minute, don't forget about the Pro Se affidavit. That MUST be notarized or signed in front of the clerk! Since you said you are filing a self-prepared Ch 7.

We didn't have to have anything notarized - sent it in the mail.

Well, I had to sign mine in front of the clerk. She checked my ID, then watched me sign it.

              the lesson from this thread,

Check with the Bankruptcy Clerk at the court you need to file at.

                Must be state specific...

I did not have to file any Pro Se forms....all documents were signed ahead of time and no I.D. was even presented....but its Kansas so there you go! LOL
