Income after 341

We are less than 3 weeks away from discharge (above-median). It has gone exceptionally smooth...So far not a single peep from the UST or anyone else.

My DH was unexpectedly offered a part-time job today (annual salary around $17k), and he may be asked to start before we receive our discharge. Is it safe at this point for him to take this job, or is it safer to wait until after discharge?

The net impact on our schedules is virtually zero since I have lost some 1099 income since our 341 was completed. I have however received a small raise since filing (trustee never asked us about changes in income at our 341), so as of today our schedules would show close us being around $0, instead of slightly negative

Since you have already had your 341, I don;t see that there would be a problem.

Without assuming a legal view, I understand you lost a job and he is getting a part time job for 17K? At this time, you have met all requirements of 7. If it were ME, and I'm speaking for myself only, I would take the job. That is good money. BTW what kind of job out of curiosity. Now if possible, and you are worried, could they hold back his pay until? I would not pass it up. 'Hub

I was way off...it's more like $10k or so. Part-time custodial work at the local high school. Still decent money for us. I spoke to our lawyer and he gave us the green light, telling us we are safe this late in the game and to go ahead and take the job.
