Schedule J, no car pmts but 200 budgeted

    Hi All,
I'm filling out the schedule J.

My wife drives a rusty minivan with a busted taillight - but it's paid for, and worth just under the exemption.

I drive a 2001 saturn with 224,000miles on it, faded paint - but it's paid for, and worth just under the exemption.

So here's my question: These cars could DIE tomorrow, and "regular people" are allowed a car payment budget allocation
....so can I insert 200/mo as a future car payment??

It's the smart thing to do budget-wise, and it's not really disposable income, unless I'm a fool and don't plan ahead for the expense.

I dunno about a car payment. But the state exemption for cars reads that it is for payments, maintenance and such. So a repair or payment could fall under your $200? And maybe the expense is higher

Sorry, had posted wrong one. Also, I added medical insurance as we have none now but need it!

I'd include it as part of maintenance
