I have a auto loan with citi auto. I did not reaffirm my car loan, but it was current at the start of my bk. I have continuted to pay and they have not said anything. If you don't reaffirm and keep paying on the loan then the finance company may take your car, but they may not.

If your attorney can negotiate a good deal for you then it may be in your best interest to reaffirm. If they don't offer a deal...then try not reaffirming and just keep paying.

I would not reaffirm. The good news is that they don't want your car. They want the money. Just keep up with payments and chances are they won't reposess.

I have never had a late payment and I don't think I really want to reaffirm the car. My atty is really good and thinks she can negotiate with them. If this happens, I might reaffirm, depending on what it is. I am thinking though, if she can't get any better deal, not to reaffirm and see what happens. The worst thing that can happen is they take the car and I get a different one. Any suggestions on a good cheap newer used car with low miles and good mpg? Maybe an 05-06 Honda Civic.
