Yep. As a single guy, I can live SUPER CHEAP. Women don't usually want to live like a bachelor. Guys are better at survivor skills. We can live without any frills. All we need is the basics.

I just called that place I found on another thread for food from www.angelfoodministries.com. It's $30 for a box of food and $5 for the box. You get the $5 returned when you bring the box back. Their plan sounds great. I thought they had the food there. They said I have to go there in person, pay for the order and then the food gets delivered on a certain day. No limit to the boxes of food. I have to pay by cash or money order.

I have to stop paying the credit cards and loans now. I am barely able to eat and pay for gas, parking and rent if I keep paying on them. Plus this is the only way to come up with money for the lawyer.

My last charges were in august and the one loan I got was in July . I have no choice now though without my second job.

The way I see it the bankruptcy people will see that I only make 36k a yr and see my rent and car and student loan payments and then know why I had to keep charging after I lost my second Job. I have to survive. It was the only way at the time.

That is not fraud, its staying alive.

I cannot survive if I keep paying the bills for 6 more months. I cannot survive if this bankruptcy does not go through for me. I am starting to pay the lawyer soon and I plan on filing dec or january.

I don't make much more than you, so I know your pain. You're way under the median, so you should have no problem filing.

I'm going to my lawyer maybe tomorrow to get the paperwork to sign.

I know I am able to file for 7. I am pretty worried about objections from the trustees due to the timing of some of the debt and use of cards but it is a chance I am going to have to take.

Like I said, My income is so low it is not hard to see how I got here after I lost my pt job in august

Keep in mind that you are making business decisions and not emotional ones. DW did not want to give up the house the car or anything else.

I know. I am still battling trying to convince her. For the first time EVER, she actually sat down last night and looked at houses for rent on Craigslist. She's worrying if we can ever buy another house. I don't want to. We will never stay put for 20 years. Plus the houses I'd ever want to own would be $300k and that's way too much.

I just want to rent for $1000/mo.
