I have a judgment that is trying to garnish me after if have received my discharge. I listed the plaintiff on my petition. What do i need to do.

If you have any of the garnishment papers around and didn't throw them away, call the lawyer that filed the garn. Get his fax and fax him the discharge and tell him the bill was listed, and you want it dismissed immediately. If the court has cut him a check, he will have to return that also. Also, as HHM says, it would not hurt to file a copy in the garn. office at the courthouse, it will help if you have your case number, but they can look it up by name. Good luck.

Have you thought about going after the creditor that is trying to garnish you? Clearly they were notified about the BK (because they are on your petition). I think (IMHO) that this is abuse and the creditor needs to pay YOU penalties. At least bring it up with your BK attorney. If he is not too excited about it, go to NACA.netFiled CH 7 9/30/2008
