For those planning to not pay before filing (credit score info)

Just thought interesting for those planning to avoid paying credit card payments for months (or a year or more) before filing I'm posting this. WAMU keeps track of my FICO monthly so I can watch it plummet (how fun!).

The first two months I didn't pay, my score went down 30 points per month. As of my third month, it just went down *100* points! I'm not at 539. In May, it was 730!

I was curious as to what would happen, so I posted this in case anyone else was interested in how that all works.

I thought is it sounded like a good idea myself so I made a graph in my signature.
Discharged November 2008 100 days after filing no-asset Chapter 7. We intended to let a two-year-old vehicle go back to the bank and reaffirm an inexpensive ten-year-old SUV and our home mortgage. In the end we surrendered ALL of our vehicles and reaffirmed NOTHING. We'll "ride through" our mortgage after the court ruled it an undue hardship.

I stopped 2 months before I filed my score dropped to 540 just before I filed but as soon as everything said IIB it jumped back up to 640. So it went up 100 points with no debt. BOA has put a note on my car loan with the balance. I wonder if I surrender the car will the take that off.
It is interesting to see how it works. It almost looks like history really doesn’t do much for the score.

He/She probably right clicked on the mouse, saved the photo and put it into a template. If you "draw" a box you can fit the photo right into the box

          just my guess

I plot it in Excel and then capture it and paste it in PhotoShop where I reduce the size and quality until it fits the requirements for the forum.
