Surrendered Home in CH7, interest only loan

Hi again, I need your input again... (and thank you in advance, you all are so helpful). I surrenedered my home from my divorce in CH7 it was one of the interest only loans...(the only loan I could qualify for at the time as a single mom/newly divorcee) so far I have paid a very healthy portion of interest (which is also a tax write off, I am in CA).... Since I have the 8 months of interest / payments to that house under my belt this last year, am I still entitled to the write off even if I have filed bankruptcy?

(I also have 50% ownership in a new home w/ a 30 year fixed that I will be able to keep.)

Am I entitled to interest tax write off for the surrendered home for the months I did pay?

    Again, thanks for your answers.
Don't take my word for it, I'm just sayin'

You are entitled to write off anything you pay. It's money out of your pocket and you are still living there.
