If it's going to get messy, when do you know it?

My 341 is December 1. I know that creditors have 60 days after that date to object, and I assume the trustee can object at any time, but if things are going to get messy, do you think I'll know about it by the time the 341 occurs? Or at the 341?

I'm in ch. 7 by virtue of the means test, there's a "meansno" tag, which says that the bk trustee, at least for now, doesn't see abuse, but I'm still worried, and will probably remain so until discharge/close.

I keep looking all over PACER to find where this "meansno" thing is......Can someone tell me where to look? I click on everything and pay 8 cents a page. I'm going crazy.

Ok the meansno comes from when you file the trustee does not set that flag. If the UST thinks you don’t really pass the means test then the UST will change the flag. that's a whole other thread
As far as creditor objections
Unless you have NON dischargeable debt there will not be objections.
Do you have student loans, been sued for fraud DUI fines back taxes those are non dischargeable and those are the resins for objection.
Bank of America will not object even if you owe them 100K as long as you did not use the card in a fraudulent manner.
There are people on this forum that have had millions discharged no objections.

Did you use an attorney to file.

If yes, you would know if your case would get messy BEFORE the case was ever filed. (assuming you have a half-way decent attorney).

Most people have a sense if there case is iffy before it is filed. There is very little that is unpredictable in a BK Case.

I have a good lawyer that does this all day long and he told me, that he feels good about the chapter 7 but says he think the UST could ask for a lot more paperwork because we are claiming household of 5,and if you earn over 80k it goes to high scrutiny... we earn under median for a HH of 5 exactly on median for a HH of 4 and 17k over a HH of 3, it is hubby, myself and our 8 yr old, my 20 yr old is in full time school but has moved instate and is home full time and my 22 yr old is school full time and is in the next state for school and home after each term. they are our legal dependents as per the IRS.

But I worry every day.

It is OK for the kids at home, even college ones. The one out of state, you need to ask your atty. But you can add education, health whatever you spend. Does the atty know that one is out of state?

I have one living elsewhere, so I only counted the other two that are at home attending college even though they are 18.

Yes the attorney knows one is out of state he said he did not care as that on the IRS is still a dependent. But did you ever get challenged about your other 2 at all? did you have to provide anything extra, I can get their school transcripts and the fact they are on my medical and dental and car insurance but not sure what else I can provide...even if they didn't accept that we are at median with HH of 4 anyway.... were you still at median with your other 2?
