    frog42's post got me thinking

If you got forced into a chapter 13 and things to continue to go up ...my hubby drives 4 hours a day for work, when gas was high it was so bad, but can he choose to quit his job and then go back to a lawyer who for $750 can ask for it be changed to a 7,, I would think he would have to be fired and not just quit right? The commute is getting him down, he retired from the Navy and now has this commute everyday for 5 years, we could move closer but house prices are double so we stayed in the cheaper area.
    just wondered about job...

If your in a 13 and increasing cost of living is affecting you, I'd first suggest going to the lawyer and see if you could get him with the trustee to adjust the 13 payment. If you can prove higher cost of living you might could get a lower 13 payment.

Another option is to run the numbers and see if he could qualify for a 7 even while working the job with the increased costs and then convert.

If your already in the 13 I wouldn't advise quitting without talking to a lawyer first, I'm not sure if the situation is different that way.
