My question is I have 2 kids. I pay my mother $200 a week to watch them. Would this be considered ok to deduct since she doesnt claim it on taxes? It is still an expense. Its cheaper than actual daycare.

Can you show proof that you pay $200 a week, cashed checks, receipts, etc.? You should still be able to deduct it as an expense.

No receipts but yes an obvious nessecity.

If you needed to show proof, your mom could give you the receipts you need should it ever come to that. Definatly use the daycare as an expense.
