My husband and I filed on Oct 24th, we are surrendering our car. Our lawyer told us to contact Chase about picking up the car. Well the person that Chase keeps putting us through to talk to never answers their phone. We have left messages, and he doesn't return our call (I'm guessing because of the automatic stay). Anyways, we've been trying for about two weeks now to get ahold of this guy with no luck. Will we get any kind of notice when they file for a relief of stay, or when they will be picking up the car? Will anything show up on Pacer about it? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I just hate not being in the know. I would at least like to have an idea of when they will be coming to get the car, that way it's not in the middle of the night, and scare the crap out of me. Thanks.

Question about surrendering car after filing

If you listed the car as being surrendered then they don't need to get MFR and yes they can come anytime to pick it up. I would leave it somewhere accessible with the keys under the floor mat. Call them up and leave a message with the person that handles that. If you want you can drive to a bank location and turn it in there.
