We are filing next week. Anyhow, my hubby does websites on the side and is working on 2 of them. He doesn't claim this as our accountant said it is a hobby and he isn't making much. But my question is, if the checks come (we tried to get them to send them sooner) can we cash them at like Krogers or something without the trustee knowing? I don't mean to sound like we are hiding anything, but my kids need clothes and groceries! We will still be in the negative after we file anyhow until my business gets going so we were going to stock up on food and diapers....Gosh I hate being poor!

That's a good question about the trustee
I don't know how much your checks are usually for that you will be getting on the side, but I do know that the Kroger's in my area will only cash checks up to $500.

the trrustee isn't looking for your paycheck HE/she will be looking for assets he/she can take and sell. you are not in debtor prision you can use your pay as you need to.Chapter 7 07/30/2008
