Reading the other thread about American General and furniture got me to thinking about my furniture. I purchased furniture about 2.5 years ago from American TV and Appliance with their store charge card, through WFNNB. I was a co-hard holder. I didn't originally think too much about it because the other person on the card had intented to continue to pay the debt as they were not filing bk. That person even called WFNNB to talk about it and was assured that continuing to pay it would be great for them, too, as they want their money. WELL, when it was time to pay the bill, they changed their tune and told the co-card holder that they couldn't accept payments on this account and that it would show a zero balance due to bk
The also threw in there that some banks may do reaffimations but they don't since this is "unsecured debt"...their words...unsecured, so maybe they don't consider the furniture to secure it even though it was a store card??
Anyway, the collective "we" wanted to pay and they said no......"we" also said we were willing to reaffirm and they said they didn't do that.......so, should I worry about them calling me a month after discharge and wanting their furniture? I think we've tried to make this a win-win to no avail
