No Discharge, No Closing, Nothing since June?

I am just so confused. We filed Chapter 7 in April, had the 341 in May and have heard nothing since the trustee demanded the economic stimulus in June. There was a motion to compel and extend time to August We had already complied with the turnover of the stimulus and we have heard NOTHING.

I e-mailed the paralegal in October and they sent a status request to the trustee. A month later and still nothing? I just e-mailed the paralegal again and he said this is not unusual for this trustee. What gives?

So can he review the case and come after us at any time for whatever he may have missed on the first look at the case? Can he hold this open and go after our tax returns this coming April? We are anxious to get this behind us and move on. We have student loans to pay back but Sallie Mae won't even talk to us becuase this is an open BK! Does anyone know if the interest on the loans is accruing during this time?

Any words of advice would be great!

Just curious, why aren't you calling?

If I were you I would call the lawyer and ask for an explanation. I wouldn't deal with the paralegal and I certainly wouldn't rely on any more email communication. You deserve some attention.
