    Newbie, with questions

Ok I have read tons on the board. But still have some questions. we are looking to file in MN. The one thing i am worried about is 1 of 3 vehicles. Our main vehicle, they only one that holds all 6 of us. Is worth more then the allowable $3200. Would they take it? Is there anyway to keep it?
Another questions is no matter how many people in the household the exempts $ amounts are the same? How many things can we exempt? Like computers and tv's are we only allowed one in the house? Or does it go by a $ amount?

I read about people waiting months to file and while waiting for discharge but stop making payments on CC's. Do you just have to tell your lawyer or anybody how much money you have coming in? Do they watch what you are spending your $ on?

When do i provide the credit reports? How do they figure the equity in your home?

I read about no asstes Bk and asset Bk. What would be considered assets?
I don't want to wait to file. We alreday have somebody threatening to sue. If we retain a lawyer can it stop/slow further actions?

Ok another ? We are looking to use the same lawyer FIL. we live in another county. So not sure we can. What about the trustee, are they different for county, state etc?

Oh and FIl said we had to list all of our possessions. How detailed to we have to be? We have 4 kids. Can we put just toys with an amount? How about clothes, books, I mean there are so many things. Are they going to be allowed video games? Can we just put that under electronics?

    Thanks

Or does it go by a $ amount? You get a dollar amount to exempt use garage sale pricing to figure your assets.

A lawyer from a different county is ok but should be from the same state or distract in that state the trustee is from your county he/she is a local attorney appointed by DOJ to act as a trustee.

I bought the Nolo CH7 book, and it was really helpful. You might go online and take the means test.

Because of our income we already qualify for a CH7. What else does the means test tell you?
