Depends on how much, and when. Wait 180 days past discharge and you are cool ~ or if it's just a couple of thousand, shouldn't be a problem. Any amount that the bank is going to report to the IRS (+10K) would get the trustee's attention.

No problem they won't come after it. Once your case is discharged and closed, it's done. You are free and clear of your debts and free of the court system and all of its players, IE trustee, etc.

The only things that was mentioned several times is inheritance, lottery winnings and if a debtor committed bk fraud and was somehow caught. Other then that the new journey begins.

Why anyone wants to get more debt for any reason after this experience is beyond me.

Why would you make it public that the parents gave the money in the first place?

Why not rob a bank and then call the police the next day and say, "Hi, I'm the guy who robbed the bank yesterday. Oh, I also did some shoplifting at the mall last week, too."

Keep that on the DOWN-LOW and don't shoot yourself in the foot.

Being bi-polar is fun! Everyone should try it.

Pyramid schemes never last. Ever heard of getting a REAL job and making an honest living?

I've never heard of a person describing a mental illness as "fun". Get a grip dude.

How many times do we have to post that after 180 days from filing, any inheritences are your to keep? Some of you guys seem determined to manufacture issues where none exist.
              The code is pretty clear.

Cash gifting has nothing to do with a pyramid. It's one person giving a gift to another. There's no person at the top making money from all of the gifting people.

Get your facts straight and participate in one first before you go off making fast judgments. That's like me saying that whatever you do for a living is a scam before I even have done what you do.

Well, now you've finally heard of a mental illness as being fun. Get over it.

It's my mental illness so I can call it whatever I want and you will like and respect my wishes.

Just plain ignorant if you think that I "will like and respect your wishes".

Nope. You will do it and like it and that's all there is to it.

I don't remember sending you a personal message asking you to post your worthless opinion on my post. You should stop running your mouth and stop instigating arguments with people. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.

I'll continue to post on a daily basis as I see fit. Not sure who you think you are, but this isn't your forum and YOU don't make the rules.

Obviously, you don't understand the whole "Gifting" thing. Sorry, it's a pyramid. And by the way, stupity is not a mental illness.

If you walk into the bank Monday, and deposit more than 10K, the IRS is notified.

Who said I was going to deposit more than $10k?

You just deposit $9,000 at a time.
