    Filing last year's taxes

The attorney called me today and said that I'm going to need to file my taxes for 2007. I am confused by this because I work from home making very little money and last year I started working in December, so I made less than $400 dollars, that's why I didn't file. Do I still need to do that and will I get in trouble if I file now?

Happy Thanksgiving to you too. I am also afraid now by filing this late, that I might be audited or that it would dismiss my case. I know there will be penalties, how do I even send it in, do I just mail in the tax form and they will tell me after that how much I owe in penalty fees?

Any suggestions? This board has been very informative.

This is a no brainer, simply file a 1040. Its no big deal.

            HHM,

I wouldn't ge in trouble? Is there a way I can file online so I can print a copy?

You will not get in trouble. You probably don't owe any taxes, so just file. In fact, maybe you are going to get a refund (EIC).

Either way, file the 1040, or 1040A... whatever works the best.
Filed 8/08 - Discharged 11/08! Not tracking FICO.
              Pre-Bankruptcy Net Worth: -$72,000... Today's net worth: $142,000.
If your FICO score just went higher than your net worth, and you are happy about this, you might have a financial problem!
