Checking Account is Locked down.

I filed for Chapter 7 on Nov. 8th my 341 is Dec 8th. I have 3 acre properity financed with my credit union i all so have checking account there as well.

Yesterday i went the store and got my Debit Card out swiped it at the counter got a message cancelled so i found out to today my checking has been locked down i cant with drawl money out of it.


Has anyone ran into this problem

Oh the Proprety has no equity and i plan on keeping it and paying for it monthly i dont understand why they locked my checking account down.

so there holding your money hostage? Do you owe your credit union money other than the property? Your still paying on it right and not late? Thats crappy

Credit unions cross collateralize their loans in some cases. Have you spoken to them about reaffirming your loan for the property?

I am current on my Proprety loan. i did call them today and they had been notified of my B/K and from waht they understood i was surrendering the proprety.
I told them i had every attention to keep the land and keep paying she told me that the checking would be freed up later in the day.

so now i got my pay check and i dont know if i should go their and cash it and put a deposit in im afraid there lock it down all so.
