    Bass And Associates 2008

We just received two letters from Bass & Associates. There letter acknowledges that they heard we were filing bankruptcy but they have not received any paperwork about it.

They want us to fill out a form that lists our attorney information, case # and the date filed. We did not officially file until last week.

One of their letters is for Best Buy the other is for a furniture company. Anyone dealt with these people lately and what are their current tactics/ ways to harass people.

Since we just filed last week .. Should I just ignore the letter?

If you filed already I would ignore it. If they call just say "My Attorney Informed me to only give you His name and number and nothing else, would you like His information?"
BTW anything I say here is just me yapping based on my experience. Your milage may vary.

Is this Bass & Associates located in FL? There is also another Bass that is located in a different state than FL and I forget what state it is, but I've had dealings with the one in FL and they are ruthless

So, are you dealing with the one in FL or AZ? Personally, I would just forward their calls to your attorney, since you had said you filed last week.

I am dealing with the one in AZ. They have not called me yet. They just sent me two individual letters from different creditors that arrived on the same day. So, We'll see what happens. The issue, it wasn't like they said I owe them money or a certain dollar amount they just said it was turned over to them. So, it's in the early stages. I think I will just ignore them. If they come after me I'll tell them they can have what ever they want if the tell me exactly what I owe them.

You have the right idea...surrender the ITEM not the money. I have read that it is a pressure tactic to get you to pay up - but if you give them the item (whatever it is) then usually they don't want to pick it up!
