Well, I'll try to sleep tonight; luckily the Thanksgiving weekend kept my mind mostly off of the pending 341. It's scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, December 1. I hope to find out if I can be a 7 or if the trustee will push me into a 13. I am very nervous, but I've dutifully read all of the "it was a breeze! why was I so worried?" posts, and I hope to report the same experience tomorrow. Wish me luck! I'll post a report after the meeting, in case anyone else has a 341 coming up and wants to read about it.

Update: It went relatively smoothly. No creditors showed up; no U.S. trustee showed up (my greatest fear - that I'd be pushed into a chapter 13). The trustee was very matter-of-fact, and the only "glitch" was that I had made payments to my creditors prior to the bankruptcy. I had been making payments regularly to my 3 credit cards right up until I filed; I had account statements for two of them that showed the debits/payments and I just need to print out the statement for the third and return it to her asap. My hearing was "continued" until December 29, but I don't need to appear if I provide the documentation requested.
She asked about how much my home (going to be let go) was worth; I told her that it has been for sale for a year, that I am listing it 30k below assessed (and about 50k below last appraised) value, with no offers. She kind of sighed at that and shook her head a bit - my guess is that she hears that a lot lately.
There were maybe a dozen other people there, and I ran into a former co-worker who is now a bankruptcy attorney. At first I was embarassed because I was there as a client, not as an attorney, but hey - you do what you have to do! He was very nice, of course, and told me that he himself had filed back in the 1990s. So you just never know!
All in all, it was very easy, but I was so nervous about saying the wrong thing or somehow jinxing the process! If anyone wants more info, I'll be happy to provide what I can!

Congratulations on your successful 341! I am sure your 341 continuation will be smooth too.
I just had my 341 AND my 341 continuation too, the continuation was Nov 24.
However, I had to attend my continuation hearing. It lasted just a few minutes and the trustee had some other questions she was asking about my expenses, but this time the US Trustee was not on the phone. Also, within about 2 days I received an official notice of no assets to distribute (which is what I was saying all along!

I am not an attorney. None of my advice is legal advice in any way..
