NO Assets but also NO Income. Can I file Ch. 7??

    Hi everyone,
I have posted on here over the past few days. A problem that I was just thinking about was that I have NO assets whatsoever. No house/car/boat etc. I have been living with my friend for the past 1.5. He has been paying for EVERYTHING. Rent/food/utilities etc since I have been unable to work since my last surgery. Is this going to be a problem when I file? I mean don't I have to show what my expenses are in order to get "approved" for Ch. 7 status? Its just that he has been paying for 100% of everything until I am better enough to get better. So do you know what I put for expenses so that I can file? Anyone else in/been in this situation? Oh and also...I have made a little (under 500.00) on ebay over the past year but as soon as the money was put into my account, I took it out so creditors couldn't raid my account. Would this be an issue when he they ask for the last 12 months of bank statements and it just shows a 0.00 balance? TIA.

Nothing in your post would prevent your bk from being discharged.
The real question is, why file when there is nothing to take? I'd wait until you're back at work at a job with health insurance benefits. What happens if you file and are discharged and a few months later you get sick and have new medical debt?

ooohh....you have a point. its just that i was wanting to start putting this behind me and afraid that when i start making money, they will take it out of my account. if i have my checks automatically deposited into my roommates account so that creditors dont take it, is that fraud in their eyes? I would have it go right in my account and then take it out but I thought that would seem fishy. i dont know. argh....

Nobody cantake anything out of an account unless they sue you and win.

I BK's on 30+ Credit cards and knowbody ever took anything out of my checking accounts. I have read on this forum that if you have a credit card with the same bank that is cross collerization and the can take the money out. If you have your checking account with the same bank that one of the credit cards that you are bking on, then I would close that and reopen one in a different bank that is not connected to any credit cards.
