Now that I have referred 6 of my 8 creditors to the attorney I retained, my 15 to 20 calls a day has slowed to 1 or 2. My question has to do with the local CU. I have a credit card with a balance of 4,800 and have missed two months but they haven't started calling. This CU also services my 1st mortgage (they sold loan but still collects my monthly on behalf), owns my 2nd mortgage (equity loan) and I also have a HELOC through them. Of course, I stopped all payments after the Sept payments.
Question is that since I want to stall the foreclosure, or at least live in the house as long as possible, do I even want to start referring the CC, Heloc and equity loan to my attorney once thay start calling on those? Or just keep ignoring the calls. Currently, they are making me fill and send hardship document but I have not sent documents yet as I became unemployed two weeks ago. Don't think I will be able to keep the house once I file even if I start new job next month.
On a side note, what's up with Bank of America? I owed WAMU and Discover about $1500 and these guys called me relentlessly everyday. Yet I owe B of A $48,000 on a personal loan/line of credit and have missed three monthly payments yet they've only called me 3 times in over 2 months and sent maybe 2 emails. Makles me say hmmm!!!!
