First one about my car, sent a letter by lawyer saying he will enter negotiations for a $450 fee plus 4325 an hour in court. That's a no as we cannot afford that and sch J is -790, Lawyer i feel added a lot of stuff to make it that way so it would be a no from court anyhow.
so Our options are to not reafirm and hope if we are current they do not take the car... or (here is my question) if we opt to go infront of the judge ourselves, does that delay discharge? if it takes a while to get infront of a judge, then you could go over your 60 days waiting for a discharge To me that is not an option I need this over with, Cannot take the stress.
Question 2, One of my credit cards was from Overseas, british Card Not reported on a US credit report, It was 0 balance In the days leading up to filing (bad advice from lawyer) kept a checking acc open one of my creditors cleaned it out.. so I used the Brit card..... so i have around $3k on that card. courts messed up sending a notice to that acc overseas so i sent a notice as I had to list all debts...... I never wanted to discharge this debt as I had used the card knowing I was filing but lawyer included it and said well if it gets discharged great if not oh well.
My question is..
if they object do I have to pay lawyer to deal with it and will it extend the time getting a discharge?
Can I just tell them myself I intend to keep paying and not discharge this debt?
Thanks to anyone who can help me, I am so worried and want this over with ASAP.
Thanks B
