I finally got my BK filed on 12/24. I know that, if not exempted, my 2008 income tax can be taken. Other than that, what income can be taken? I'm thinking about going to the Army full time or rejoining the National Guard. Both options would probably get me a signing bonus ranging between $6-20K. The very earliest that I would do either due to the availability seats in a training class is sometime in Feb/Mar, which would most likely mean that my 341 would be over. The bonus wouldn't be paid any earlier than 45 days after I join. If the case has not yet been discharged and I receive a bonus, would the trustee be able to take that? I'm not sure if they are able to take future income. If they could take it, what time frame would I be looking at to receive a bonus without the funds being in jeopardy?
