I have a lien on my truck and dirt bike and I am upside down on both. I am willing to surrender both of them in my bankruptcy. The value of them won't pay of the loans. Will I have to pay the difference or is that washed away in the bankruptcy? Thanks so much! I am overhwhelmed by all of this and I am trying to do this on my own, without an attorney.

When you file and surrender the secured property (truck and dirt bike), your debt is wiped out by the BK. That is the whole premise behind the fresh start - your debt is washed away.Filed CH 7 9/30/2008

I am not an attorney. None of my advice is legal advice in any way..
