    Returned mail question

I did a search and didn't find anything specifically addressing this issue, so any help would be appreciated.

I filed pro se and I've received back 3 of the "Notice of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Case, Meeting of Creditors, & Deadlines" that the BK court sent out as "Return to Sender, Not Deliverable as Addressed, Unable to Forward" and 1 "Return to Sender, Attempted Not Known, Unable to Forward".

Most of my debts were very old and in collections for 3 or 4 years prior to filing. I included the address of the original creditor and the collection agency when I had both. 3 of the ones I received back are the original creditors, 2 of which were in collections so the CA presumably received the notice. 1 is the collection agency for an online payroll advance place and I didn't have the address of the original creditor and the other is an insurance company that I owed a small amount for a canceled policy so there was no collection on that.

My question is, do I need to find the current addresses of these places and mail them the notices? If so, should I send them CMRRR so I have proof?

My attorney told me that I was responsible if they were returned. Why I do not know, cause I was paying him. I would send them out Certified mail return receipt so that you have proof that they received it.

Yes, try one time for a better address and send again CMRRR. Keep the original letters that were returned in your file so that you have proof that you attempted to contact them.

Thanks for the advice. I googled all of the companies and got new addresses for three of them. Apparently First Consumer National Bank is no longer in business, but the CA received that one so I'm not worried about it. I will send them CMRRR Friday.
