    Pacer - Case Summary Question

Filing Chapter 7 and 341 meeting set for 1/13.

When I query and look at my Case Summary in Pacer:

I dont see any flags, is that normal at this point? Or am I looking in the right place?

It shows 2 trustees, one that was specifically named and seperately, "Office of the US Trustee". Is that standard or does that mean that the US Trustee will be present?

    Thanks for your help.

Mine just said Trustee. Is there anything in your case that may send up a flag that the U.S.trustee would need to look at it. Of course, if there is a requirement (dont know) that the U.S.Trustee looks x amount of cases per year this could be there method for getting a jump on the new year. All speculation of course.

Im not aware of anything that would bring it to the attention of the US Trustee. Does anyone else have responses to my questions? Thanks

Pacer lists the name of my trustee as well as the US Trustee. I already had my 341 and the US Trustee didn't show up. Relax - NO flags is a good thing - you don't want them.
        Chapter 7 filed 10/21/2008
        341 - 11/26 went smooth NO ASSET
Took 115 days after 341 - But Finally DISCHARGED 3/25/09

We didn't even learn of the existence of PACER until well after our 341. Then we learned of its existence in connection with another Federal case that we were marginally involved with. So this is not helpful at this point for you.

Once you have the 341, then I would start paying attention to PACER. But beware, it can get pricey and you won't realize it. There is at least one thread devoted to the ins and outs of PACER. I suggest checking there for the basics.

Good luck, and Happy New Year!

If you're above median, your case has probably been automatically assigned to a regional UST for review. This doesn't mean you'll have a UST attorney at your 341 or that there's anything to worry about. And I'd take no flags over scary flags any day!

Thanks, your comments are much appreciated!

I will try to relax and watch pacer after the 341 (and try to avoid the high costs too).

              Happy New Year to all!

Thanks for this, I also noticed on the case summary that I have a US Trustee listed.

I am above the median and have about $220,000 in unsecured debt and am 1099'd so I expected it.
Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.
