    Showing IIB already?!?!

I filed on 12/24 and I've been checking my credit report every week or so just to see the changes. I was surprised to see that my BK hit my report about 2 days after it was filed. Cool. Nothing new last weekend hit. But this week I was getting quite a few e-mails from Truecredit about changes to my credit report from different bureaus. I finally checked today to see what all the excitement is about, and so far 5 of my accounts are showing $0, paid, and included in BK. I'm really not sure what to think about all this, so if you fine folks can explain it, I'd appreciate it. I thought that those types of changes to the credit report usually happen AFTER the BK is discharged. Does this mean that those companies probably won't send lawyers to the 341 or try to object? At any rate, it makes me smile just a bit because one of the ones showing a $0 balance now had a judgment and was threatening to send the Sheriff to attempt to take my stuff and/or wipe out my bank account merely 2 weeks ago. I'm still anxious about the 341, but just filing makes me feel like a weight has been lifted.
    Filed 12/24/08...a Merry Christmas indeed!

it may just be the companies procedure when a customer files for BK. If they write it off now, (before the end of their year) it may help them, or they are just assuming they won't get anything once you file. I don't think there is a large percentage of companies that actually send lawyers to the 341's anyway. Usually if the company believes there was fraud.
    Good luck on your 341!

All of your creditors will show IIB and 0 balance. after your discharge they should be changed to discharged. Creditors don't normally send lawyers to 341 meeting. It is not worth it for them since the debit will be discharged,

Ok, thanks for the heads up. At least USAA has returned my online access since changing the status.
