Well we finally had our 341 meeting today. Was last case for the 10am-11am slot. Got there early and watched a few meetings pretty much run of the mill stuff. The trustee was pretty nice but did lay into a few people that still after several continuances didn't have everything they needed.
Finally our group of people started going the first couple were older I'd say late 60's. they were giving up their house and I really felt pretty bad for them until she (trustee) asked what the house was worth and they responded $200,000 but had it mortgaged for 1.2 million. They their attorney and the trustee went back and forth a few times ran through the petition and was just about done when the trustee started talking about something with the wife and then it happened the wife developed verbal diarrhea started telling them about Salvatore Dali paintings they have and a one they just bought on a cruise last month. My jaw dropped about the same time as the attorney and husbands did. Well needless to say they are now having a court ordered inventory of there house because none of that stuff was in the petition.
Sorry, I just had to relate that story because it is everything that you are not supposed to do. Anyway when she got to us she said she was happy to get to us because we were the first ones today that she had no flags problems or questions for. She actually said, after we were off the record, that we were one of the cleanest and most straightforward chpt7s she's had seen in awhile. She wished us the best of luck in the future and that she was listing us no asset and our discharge should be entered around 1st or 2nd week of march. (barring any objections). Did not mention tax refund at all simply we were no asset. Attorney had said that before in one of our meetings with him that this particular trustee does not go after tax refunds in cases were there are no other assets to seize. So all in all it was a good day just have to wait out the 60 days. 60 days closer to starting over with a clean slate. Thanks guys for all the info thus far we couldn't have done it without you folks and keep your fingers crossed that the 60 days will be boringly uneventful. Nice being in the 60 day club finally
Thanks again
Henry
