I have a question, we have two children (my hubby and I). We currently don't have health insurance, husband lost it 5 months ago. With all of our bills and etc. we can't afford it. We are going to file bankruptcy, we are trying to hold off since we have had purchases on our credit cards. I looked and medical insurance for all of us is between 800-1000 a month, my question is, how can I add this to our expenses when we currently do not pay for it, should i get it before we file? I also want to put my 3 year old in preschool which is $150 a month, again can't afford it now. I guess my question is, since we have had so much debt we can't afford any expenses other than our credit cards, I really want to file chapter 7, but since we plan on letting go of our car ($450 month), I don't think we will pass the disposable income part w/ out these additional expenses, any thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

Stop paying the CC now.
Having no idea how much that is, go ahead and get the health insurance if you can afford it.
Do you have other transportation. Depending what time frame you are looking at you might could stop paying the car as well.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer

Should we try and get another car now before our credit gets really bad? Would this raise any flags, The car we have now has so much negative equity and it totally dented in on one side. If we were to get approved for a new car w/ lower monthly payments, could we keep the new and get rid off the old one?
