what a relief. filed on the 23rd and i feel such a sense of relief. i know this is just the beginning but it already feels better. although we filed friday we are still getting phone calls. i know they have not had time to be notified of the filing so when will the phone calls stop? also what area on pacer do i find updates on the case? i saw where it was filed but from the home page where do you go so i am not downloading everything all the time?

Congrats! I filed on the 16th and the calls have STOPPED! YES! Man they sucked. We stopped paying last July and I NEVER spoke to anyone, and now I don't have to. Woohoo!

Anyway, I am figuring out Pacer too, but if you do a search on here for Pacer someone (don't remember who sorry) gives a good breakdown of where to go to get info. I go to Bankruptcy, then query and then case summary I think it is? I'd go check to verify but it'll cost me, haha!

Congrats to you!!! We filed this month as well and it has been a huge relief. We are finally sleeping better and things are starting to look up. I wish you the best. We also just got notice of our 341 - so keep an eye out for yours!!! Life does feel a lot better now than it did 3 months ago when we made the decision to file.

All the phone calls stopped for us within 3-4 days of filing electronically.

I called all my creditors the day after I filed and gave them the case number. All but one stopped calling right away. Cap One waited until they received the paperwork from the court.
