Tax Return

I have my Chapter 7 341 Monday 2-2 @ 1pm and I was wondering if I should go ahead and do my taxes this week before my 341 for he will not think I'm trying to hide my return from him because if he wants it he can have it I just want to get my family back on track.Thanks for any help

There's really no reason to wait to file your taxes. Are you expecting a big refund?

If you are- can you exempt it?

Trustees aren't dumb- they know it's tax time. They will want to know if you're expecting a refund- but if you can exempt it- you'll be fine.

Also, i've heard of others prepaying next years taxes, or just spending the refund first.

I would consult your attorney- but it doesn't seem to matter for most cases.
